From Drab to Fab

Staging doesn’t always have to be entire homes or rooms. Sometimes all that is required is to stage a bedroom or an office. This project was an absolute gem of a character home. The older home’s rooms were beautifully designed architecturally and all they required was to be freshened up with some bedding and lamps. If a tight budget is in place, bedding and toss cushions can go a long way into breathing new life into a room.     ...

Whistler Hideaway

When you have a small space to sell, it’s important to decorate it in a way that will maximize the square footage. This little gem up in Whistler is a perfect example. A beautifully renovated one bedroom suite on the slopes of the mountain offered snowy views and a cozy interior. The combination of creams, deep blues and greys worked beautifully for this project creating a comfortable yet spacious feel to the small suite. Faux fur throws and cushions really add that luxe feel. ...

Inside Meets Outside

Have you ever noticed that some of the most beautiful rooms inside homes are the ones that maximize the views to the outside? Landscaping is not always strictly for the outdoors as it can often be seen by many rooms within the home. This home is a perfect example. The soft greens of the garden were incorporated as part of the colour palette when staging this home. Pale blues and creams worked wonderfully here. The woodwork of this home is stunning so it was important to highlight this feature with complementary furniture. ...

Waterfront Lifestyle

This project was a combination of an aesthetic renovation and stage. The location was gorgeous so it really was all about highlighting the amazing water view. I chose a light grey paint to open up the space and give it a bright, airy feel. New hardware was added to all doors and closets. Bathroom fixtures were updated and the floors were given a professional clean. Check out the before and after photos in the “Continue Reading” section. ...

West Royal Apartment

This project was a partial renovation and a full stage. We started with Blackstone Marble and Tile deep cleaning all the tile floors. New paint was added throughout along with new electrical updates and fixtures. The owners wished for wall-to-wall carpeting throughout so I chose a neutral, soft grey. The kitchen cabinets were painted and new knobs were added. I loved how the deep blue tones coordinate so nicely with the pale greys and creams in this apartment. It’s amazing how the space was transformed! Click "continue reading" for more photos.  ...

Office To Bedroom Conversion

When it comes time to sell, an extra bedroom or two can be quite attractive to a potential buyer. An office may be transformed into a chic, little bedroom with a pop of colour and some creativity. 1 makeshift bed, stylish bedding, colourful toss cushions, fab artwork and a textured throw can really pull a bed together. Add an eclectic piece of art and voila! Instant bedroom! For the side area, comfortable pieces of furniture were added together with a modern console table accessorized with white and silver. The end result is a traditional bedroom with a modern twist. ...

Old Paired With New Creates Simple Eclecticism

This project was a partial renovation and stage down in Yaletown, Vancouver. Both bathrooms were extensively renovated and we gave the space a new coat of light grey/cream paint. Charcoal grey paint was added to the surround fireplace to create a nice focal point in the room.  This space is all about clean lines, weathered finishes and warm hues. We combined the soft shades of greys, creams and blues to create a timeless look combined with understated details. A Midcentury Modern sofa works beautifully with 2 occasional chairs to create  a vintage modern vibe. ...

I absolutely loved staging this little 2 bedroom condo down in Lower Lonsdale (or LOLO as it is affectionately known as now). The condo was first emptied and given a fresh coat of light grey paint. The owners wanted a space that felt simple and uncluttered, making good use of colours and textures that exuded a sense of warmth. Ambient light fills undefined areas within a room giving a soft glow to areas short of natural light. Soft shades of yellow, orange and grey were added to give the space a traditional feel with a bit of a modern twist. ...
